You know what they say about rats and sinking ships. Or the pirate will, ask him.

Well, lately he's been telling me not to give up hope. I think he might be right.

Besides, if something awful is about to happen, my default's usually to fight like hell.

If something awful's about to happen, I usually know.

And I think it might be.

Works for me. I'd never knock someone else's super power.

It's just this feeling I get. I can't be certain that it's something awful, but the feeling I have is that it's something big. Like the feeling you'd get watching a meteorite falling from the sky, large and impossibly fast, too close for any thought of deflection until it's blocking out the sun.

And I'm a prophet, so there's that.

[sheriffing]

I guess I just keep going back and forth between wanting to distance myself from everything and everyone because something could go wrong here, and wanting to hold on as tight as I can to keep them safe.

Right now I'm in the safe place, so all I can do is hope for the best and try to prepare for... whatever this is. You're a prophet, you know it's coming. I'm a savior, so I'll deal with it when it does.

Pretty sure that doesn't count, I wasn't waltzing before I could walk and I didn't grow up in a place with turrets.

Well honey neither was I, and I'm a queen. A savior, though - isn't that traditionally some sort of martyrdom affair?

[sheriffing]

If there's some kind of inevitable doom involved, I haven't gotten to that part of the story yet.

Personally I'd prefer any noble deaths be put on hold a while. And ignoble, too, as mine's more likely to be.

I'm not planning on any crazy heroics. I just have some useful abilities, you know?

I need to put them to good use.
